I don't have enough experience with yoyos or summons to give a meaningful answer there. In addition, basic arrows, to craft better arrows are easily crafted with stone and wood. They just might have a little trouble early game. You can craft a good half of them, and including repeaters craft your way all the way to almost end game (pure craft up to hallow and chloro repeaters).
